Samrach’s practice focuses on general and specialized commercial matters including banking, commercial contracts, labor and employment, M&A and real estate development. She also handles ADR and litigation.
Samrach obtained a Master Degree of Laws from Nagoya University, Japan and a Master Degree of International Business Law and Corporate Counsel from the Royal University of Law and Economics, Cambodia.
She served as the director of legal department for a commercial bank in charge of advising the bank management and staff on a wide range of legal and compliance matters, preparing facility agreements and security arrangements, and supervising the loan recovery and enforcement procedure before Cambodian courts. She worked as a lawyer in one of the largest law firms in Cambodia prior to the establishment of SRLAW. Samrach also acted as legal officer for Lead Co-Lawyers Section of the Extra-ordinary Chamber within the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC). Prior to her admission to the Bar Association of Cambodia, she worked in various capacity as legal consultant and officer for international organizations, including UNDP and UNICEF in the legal and justice projects for supporting Cambodian Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Interior from 2010 to 2012.
Samrach is fluent in English and Khmer, and has conversational level of Japanese and French.
